So if you'd like to buy a copy--not just because my story Quinquireme is there (although that's as as good as reason as any, I would have thought!) but because it's a good way to acquaint yourself with Flash Fiction (and you never know; you might be tempted to have a go) and where will you find such names as Ali Smith, Tania Hershman, Ian Rankin and Vanessa Gebbie, to name but four, between the same covers.

ReplyDeleteFrom what I can gather, the hub around here seems to be Bristol, probably largely owing to Tania. Jonathan Pinnock will be joining us as well and I think he's also Bristolianish. The biggest concentration of flashers seems to be in Manchester, though, which even has its own twitter-based group flashtagmanchester. There are very few homegrown flashers in Oxford, which if our academics are anything to go by is the result of prolixity being an ineradicable local characteristic!
